CSS: Linear gradients as background images

So background-image or background can take a linear-gradient(...).

You can specify two colours: linear-gradient(blue, green):



That's normally top-to-bottom. You can specify the degree: linear-gradient(45deg, blue, green):



You can specify a start and stop percect after the colour. This fills to 50% blue then fades into green: linear-gradient(90deg, blue 0% 50%, green);:



This starts the green right after the blue stops, making a blocks of colour: linear-gradient(90deg, red 0% 80%, green 80% 100%);:



You could make a whole rainbow if you wanted. There's loads more options actually. It's crazy.
